Prior to that, he was the director of the Proteus Fund’s Civil Marriage Collaborative from 2007 to 2015. The Colombe Foundation (or Colombe Peace Foundation) is unique among the Proteus Fund’s donor collaboratives in that it’s a standalone nonprofit, not a fiscally sponsored project. We are also thrilled to note that our 501(c)(4) affiliate, Proteus Action League, has appointed three new Board members as well. Paul Di Donato is president of the Proteus Action League, a position he has held since succeeding PAL founder Meg Gage in January 2017. As they each bring their talents and perspectives to Proteus Fund, we can say with certainty that this force for progressive social change-and philanthropy’s critical role in that change-is as formidable as ever. Taking a cue from Doom - both old and new - Prodeus requires players to fight on the move, Enemies are plentiful and accurate, and standing still or even behind cover will. Together our Board members bring an incredible array of skill sets and networks, enabling us to enhance our current social justice work as well as new work we plan to tackle in the future. And we’re very excited about the progressive leaders recently voted onto our Board, given their diverse backgrounds, focus areas, and geographic locations. Proteus Fund owes a great debt to current and past Board members who have done so much to bring our organization to where it is today.
